TUC project on Black women’s experiences of workplace sexual harassment

Opportunity to participate in research

Sexual harassment is a sensitive topic. Particularly so for Black women. To create a safe space where experiences can be shared, we would like to invite you to join our focus to identify and tackle sexual harassment, misconduct, and sexual violence in our individual workspaces unions, and across the wider trade union movement.

Date: Wednesday 26 June
Time: 3.00pm – 4.30pm
Location: Room 834, 20 Bedford Way

Any woman who self-identifies as Black is invited to participate in the survey,  which will bring Black women union members together to share experiences.

The TUC Race Relations Committee uses Black as an umbrella term to bring together people with a shared history. Blackis used in a broad political and inclusive sense to describe people in the UK who have suffered from colonialism and enslavement in the past and continue to experience racism and diminished opportunities in todays society.

Focus Groups

By attending a focus group participants give their consent to the audio recording of the session. Audio recordings will be available to the research team only. Participants are free to leave the session part way through if they wish to, or simply decline to answer any questions that they are not comfortable with. We request bio-demographic details of participants, but we will not record names or any other identifying characteristics.
