Emergency General Meeting Tuesday 22nd Oct, 1pm: Potential threats to Statute 18
An Extraordinary General Meeting of UCL UCU will be taking place online via Zoom on Tuesday 22nd October at 1pm.
The meeting is called to discuss proposals in front of Academic Board and Council which may lead to the weakening of protections for UCL academic staff currently set out in Statute 18.
Members have been emailed a registration link, please register in advance to receive a joining link for this meeting.
All members, especially Academic Board members, are encouraged to attend.
Election of Congress delegates
Also on the agenda is the election of our Congress delegates. UCL UCU is entitled to 8 delegates due to our size. If anyone is interested in being a delegate to the 2025 Congress please email ucu@ucl.ac.uk.
Congress 2025 takes place over three days from 29 May 2025 in Liverpool. If elected delegates are unable to attend it is possible to elect replacements. There is more information about UCU Congress on the UCU website.
Calling notice for nominations to Equalities Standing Committees
Equalities Conferences are open to all UCU members and take place Thursday 28 November to Saturday 30 November in Conference Aston centre in Birmingham. The Equality conferences elect the Standing Committee, but the branch can nominate. If anyone is interested in being nominated please email ucu@ucl.ac.uk.
