Please donate to support our MABbers!

We are currently supporting members from the branch Hardship Fund and member donations, by covering their losses entirely except for 2 days’ pay. We are also providing an additional £100 hardship payment for MABbers who report they are in particular need.

We estimate that this will cost about £70,000, which is why we’re asking for donations! 

We can afford to pay this – we do want every member who is eligible to apply – but we also know it will have a significant impact on branch funds.

We are asking members who did not participate in the MAB to consider making a donation of the equivalent of 2 days’ pay.

Note: This ‘2 days’ pay’ figure is after tax and national insurance contributions are taken into account, so it may be rather less than it might appear! 

We have created a calculator which makes a ‘best efforts’ estimate by estimating your likely earnings over the fiscal year. (Tip: Please don’t set the ‘Total hours deducted field’ to 0 as it will create an error, just set it to 1.)
