New Year Social – 30th Jan!
Happy New Year!
To cheer your January up, please save the date for our next union branch social on Thursday 30th January 2025 from 4:30pm. This is an opportunity to meet union members from across UCL in a relaxed context and talk to dept reps and branch officers informally.

The social event is the same day as the next ordinary General Meeting which will be held in a ‘hybrid’ format. We hope many of you will be able to join us in-person at lunchtime 13.00-14.00 in Room 828 IOE 20 Bedford Way, and join the branch social later that day.
If you are unable to attend the General Meeting in person, members can register to join via zoom – details have been sent via email and more information will be circulated closer to the date.
Ordinary General Meetings permit members to submit motions on any topic, including motions for UCU’s annual Congress and Sector Conference. If you are considering submitting a motion, please feel free to contact branch officers to discuss drafting or submit to ucu@ucl.ac.uk You can also read this advice about how to write a motion.
