**ONLINE ONLY** AGM and Branch Social postponed
Extreme heat – AGM now online only, Thursday 25 June 2026 from 1-2.30pm
Due to the Met Office Red weather warning for extreme heat on Thursday, the executive committee has decided to move the Annual General Meeting to a fully online meeting. Please see the registration link that has been emailed to members.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but the health and safety of our members is our priority.
We will hear from guest speakers from Nottingham University UCU, who are striking against mass redundancy programme (700 redundancies this year) and London South Bank University UCU, who are beginning action against a redundancy programme and ‘fire and rehire’ attacks on staff contracts. LSBU UCU members struck for the first time yesterday and will be on strike again on Thursday.
Branch Social – to be rescheduled
Regretfully, the branch social planned this week will no longer go ahead and will be rescheduled. We will email the new date to members.
