As teaching goes online, further health & safety advice to slow Omicron spread
On Sunday evening the UK moved into a Tier 4 Covid alert level, and workers were told to work from home where possible. In Camden, 40% of positive PCR results are recorded as being of the Omicron variant.

Return to campus safety advice – our challenge to UCL’s proposed policy on face coverings
UCL has published a proposed policy on face coverings, which they have not consulted UCU over. We do not agree with this position which ignores the responsibility of staff to prevent avoidable risks to themselves and their students.

Important Covid-19 advice – working from home, ‘critical worker’ status and schooling arrangements
Government and UCL advice mandates that you must work from home if you can. UCU’s advice is that you should not attend campus unless absolutely critical that you do, and if you do, you must follow updated Risk Assessments and minimise your period of attendance.
