Motions received and amendments invited for Extraordinary General Meeting 10 March
Four motions have been submitted for debate at the Extraordinary General Meeting of UCL UCU which is taking place on Tuesday 10th March at 1pm. At the meeting the branch will decide which motions will be submitted to Congress and Sector Conference.
UCL UCU is entitled to submit one motion to Congress on general matters of policy, and two motions to the Higher Education Sector Conference on HE-specific matters. Therefore a vote to rank the Congress motions in order will be held to determine which will be submitted.

Amendments to these motions are invited until 4pm on Friday 6th March 2026. Please email amendments to ucu@ucl.ac.uk. Motions for Congress or Sector Conference have a word limit of 150 words, excluding the title which can have a maximum of 10 words, so any amendments being proposed cannot exceed this word count.
All members are encouraged to attend the General Meeting on Tuesday 10th March at 1pm. A zoom registration link has been emailed to members.
Open call for Congress delegates and briefing
UCL UCU is entitled to send 9 delegates to Congress and Sector Conference which is taking place at the Harrogate Convention Centre from Wednesday 27 May – Friday 29 May 2026. If you are interested in attending either in-person or remotely please email ucu@ucl.ac.uk.
If you would like to find out more, an Introduction to Congress briefing is taking place on Monday 9 March, 12:30-13:30 via zoom. Registration for the briefing is open until 4pm on Friday 6 March.
